You will be driven to Wilson Airport, where you will board a flight to Tsavo West Airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by our driver guide who will drive you to Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge. Tucked between the Tsavo West and Amboseli National Parks, the striking and diverse landscapes of Chyulu Hills National Park are a must-see. The park has ancient volcanic cinder cones and craters, with the most recent volcanic peak forming just 500 years ago. It is also home to the longest lava tube in the world. Visitors will delight in breathtaking vistas of Mt Kilimanjaro and the wonderful selection of game, including buffalo, antelope, elephant, leopard, wildebeest and zebra. The birdwatcher's paradise of Lake Jipe is found in the south-western corner of the reserve. Indulge in three nights in a cottage at Oldonyo Wuas Lodge. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, beer, house wine, laundry and daily adventures. Adventures include game drives, guided walks, horse rides and cultural visits with the Maasai cultural community.
Return to the airstrip for yet another flight to Samburu Airstrip, from there a short minute drive will take you to Sasaab camp. Looking out over the Laikipia Plateau and the distinctive peak of Mount Kenya, Sasaab Camp features a Moroccan-style design that makes the most of the river breezes. Just nine individual cottages feature elegant four poster beds, extra large open-air bathrooms and private plunge pools, as well as spacious verandas that look out over herds of elephant bathing in the river. Built into the hillside, the camp’s main swimming pool boasts views over the cooling river waters. Invigorating treatments using an assortment of natural Kenyan ingredients are available at the camp’s spa. For hands-on pampering, in-room massages and beauty treatments will invigorate guests. Adventures include twice-daily game drives (including spotlit night drives), walking safaris along the river or in the grasslands, day trips to the Samburu Reserve, mountain biking and cultural excursions.
The best feature of Samburu is not the wildlife or the picturesque surroundings, but the fact that it is one of Kenya's lesser visited regions. The peaceful atmosphere and authentic wilderness experience set it apart from the better known wilderness reserves. Situated along the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River, with its palm groves and dense forests, there is plentiful wildlife and the bird watching is especially good. The rest of the reserve is fairly hot and semi-arid, making for easy game viewing. Enjoy two nights in a thatched room with sensational views and private pool at Saasab Camp. Your stay at this Camp includes three meals daily, soft drinks, wines, beers, local spirits, bottled water, laundry and daily adventures. Adventures include game drives, guided walks, cultural visits and camel walks.
You will return to the airstrip, where you will board a flight to Mara. On arrival, a short drive will take you to the camp. Kenya's most renowned game park, the Masai Mara is situated on the northern border of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Its legendary Great Migration of over two million wildebeest and other antelope has been described as one of nature's greatest wildlife spectacles. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful year round, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, and the Maasai people, a well-known tribe with a distinctive red dress and proud demeanour. Your three Nights will be in Naibor luxury tented camp, a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort, in the heart of Kenya’s world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Naibor camp is hidden in a grove of riverine woodland on the banks of the Talek River and consists of sweeping pale canvas tents, king sized beds made from local fig-wood, wide sofas furnished with bolster cushions, and wool rugs - a luxurious base from which to explore the Mara’s fabulous wildlife throughout the year and the wildebeest migration.
After breakfast you will board a flight to Wilson Airport. A vehicle will be waiting to take you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where your safari with us will end.
