Depart Entebbe and fly to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the most scenic spots along the Nile and the location of the classic Humphrey Bogart film, The African Queen. After settling into your lodge on the banks of the Victoria Nile, join your guide for a visit to Murchison Falls, where invigorating spray — the collective force of the majestic Nile — pours down on a narrow ravine. Enjoy Game drives along the northern banks of the Nile in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park. You will see giraffes, buffalo, elephants, warthogs, leopards, lions and antelopes. Afternoons, embark on a boat cruise at the base of the falls, watching for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds along the river’s banks.
Today you will fly out to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo and baboons. While exploring, watch above for tree-climbing lions, a sight seldom seen anywhere else in Africa. You may also sight some of Uganda’s largest elephant herds. Occasionally, the elephants are spotted along the road, an indication of how many are hiding at today’s destination. As the forest rescinds, you will journey into the iconic image of East Africa, with the open savannah and the short golden grass and clumps of strange trees. Arrive in time for a short walking safari around the lodge before a luxurious lunch while overlooking the Kazinga Channel. Then move to get even closer with a boat safari that will take you past hundreds of rambunctious hippos.
The hippos are not the only icon found along the water as this channel is the park’s lifeblood, the permanent source of goodness that all animals must stay close to. Along the banks, you will see large herds of Ugandan kob taking a drink with their black and white spiraled horns making for fabulous photos. Nile crocodiles sunbathe on the banks while elephants disappear beneath the water, poking their trunks up like snorkels. Spending the day on a boat safari is a very relaxed introduction to big-game African safari as you can just sit back and absorb all of the encounters along the water.

When you encounter a mountain gorilla in the wild, there is no mistaking the bond that exists between primate and man — and no escaping the poignant fact these creatures lie on the brink of extinction.
Today will be your day to relax to your own leisure as you take a moment to reminisce about your just concluded safari expedition. You have the option to relax indoors or explore Entebbe. Once the capital city of Uganda, the charming, verdant town of Entebbe offers visitors a relaxed atmosphere and glorious natural attractions. Situated on a peninsula of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake, visitors can experience a variety of lake activities including taking a romantic sunset cruise, exploring the Ssese Islands, fishing for Nile perch, or swimming along the sandy shores. There is also fantastic flora and fauna to be enjoyed at the spectacular Botanical Gardens, the Ngamba Chimpanzee Island and the Zika Forest.
