Built as a coffee estate in the 1900s, Legendary Lodge has evolved into a retreat for guests seeking a reminder of a bygone era. The 12 stunning cottages have captured the hearts of many visitors. The colourful grounds are filled with the purple of the jacarandas, the flaming red of the African tulip trees and soft white of the frangipanis. Inside, fireplaces and comfy leather armchairs offer a cosy refuge on chilly Arusha nights. All of this is just a 15-minute drive from Arusha Airport.

After breakfast, you will be picked up and transfer by road to Lake Manyara National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at the famous Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Lake Manyara National Park offers a true wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Cradled in the boughs of an ancient mahogany forest, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge blends into the natural beauty of its breathtaking surroundings.
Stylish and luxurious, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge has the best location of any lodge in the area (with a price tag to match), and thanks to clever design it still feels surprisingly connected to its patch of dense forest. Lake Manyara National Park is a birder’s delight thanks to the combination of wetlands, woodlands and hot springs. Birds flourish here with over 400 recorded species. While the thousands of flamingos put on the most ostentatious show, the lake is a haven for many large, migratory water birds, including pelicans and storks.
After breakfast, we shall begin the long drive north to the world renowned Serengeti National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Seronera Wildlife Lodge with game drive enroute. Seronera Wildlife Lodge is one of the first lodges to be built in the park and so occupies a prime position amongst the rocky outcrops. Built around an enormous kopje, or rocky outcrop, Seronera Wildlife Lodge is in the heart of the Serengeti. Artfully constructed around a rocky outcrop from glass and wood elements, perfectly blending into its surrounding; next to the lodge, several waterholes attract, day and night, the most amazing animals, providing a unique opportunity for a close encounter with the Big Five. Seronera Lodge is only 5 minutes from the departing point of the hot air balloon safaris, which offer a thrilling bird's-eye wildlife perspective of the vast plains of The Serengeti.
The vast and spectacular Serengeti is the epitome of most people's vision of wild Africa; its endless rolling plains perfectly define the meaning of its name in the Maasai language - Seregenget or Siringitu means the place where the land moves on forever. Seronera is one of the most important spots of Serengeti National Park, where you can witness an actual kill in the flesh. This area is in the heart of the Serengeti, where all game drives, balloon safaris, and catching planes take place. Seronera Wildlife Lodge is located on the migratory route, and it provides front-seat viewing of this extraordinary natural phenomenon.
After breakfast, return south out of the park for a morning visit to the archaeological marvel of Olduvai Gorge, the discovery site of some of the earliest ever humanoid remains. Continue to Ngorongoro Crater, one of nature's true wonders - its collapsed volcanic crater is 12 miles in diameter and 2,000 feet deep. The fertile soil and lake attract a huge range of wildlife, and your afternoon crater tour will seek to uncover them amongst the floor's forests, grasses and plains. Dinner and overnight is spent at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge
Situated on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Nepture Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge is a short drive away from the famous crater – a world wonder for game viewing – as well as the rewarding Lake Manyara National Park. Relax and enjoy the tranquil ambience of the lodge, which is set in a dramatic landscape known for its coffee plantations and volcanic peaks. Enjoy private cottage accommodation and socialise at the pool after all-day game-viewing activities in the crater, which is home to the Big 5.
After breakfast, you will check out and transfer via road to Arusha town for a late lunch and there after depending on your flight schedules, you will be transferred to JRO for your onward flight.
